You are infantile.
You disgust me.
You are breathless denial.
You are anti-deep.

I am plain stupid.
I am so blind.
I do not want to be intrepid.
I am anti-defined.

You seem so layered.
You give good face.
You only betray me.
You leave empty space.

I am not trusting.
I am just weak.
I am cold and rusty.
I am just bleak.

You seek contentment.
You seek true love.
You personify resentment.
You expect too much.

I speak in tongues.
I hide my nature.
I hate for fun.
I am a liar.

You could be everything.
I could be true.
You could be nothing.
I could be you.

Shipwreck

When the waters run deep I sink.
Shut off from the world around.
Permanent bruises on my knees.
Mark the times and places I fall down.

Wet hair in my eyes, blurry vision.
The smell of salt is all I taste
I'm losing you the way I lost religion.
The good things sick people decide to waste.

I wish I could quit this dirty habit.
Tell you how I really feel inside.
Place my heart in your palms and let you have it.
Forgetting why I ever had to hide.

In the darkness I am safe inside my mind.
Memories of your hands I can't resist.
There is no leaving you behind.
Why can't it always be like this.
